1. “Haters Pressed” carries a lot of fire and honesty—what personal experience or mindset lit the spark for this track?

NUK: At the time when I was writing this song I was thinking leveling up and bossing up… Expectations and commitment—stuff like that in daily life.

2. You started writing music at just 9 years old—how has your lyrical style grown since those early days?

NUK: When I first started writing music I was too confident about my raps… I wasn’t getting too much support for doing it… But as I kept writing and rehearsing my raps I knew myself it was a piece of art.

3. How did your move from Brooklyn to Delaware County influence your sound, your hustle, and your overall vision as an artist?

NUK: Every city has their own style… Me coming from NY I kind of just make everything into one. It influenced my overall vision as artist because it grew my audience.

4. What was your energy like in the studio when recording Haters Pressed? Did you know it was going to hit this hard from the jump?

NUK: When I got to the studio half of the song was written so when I finished singing my bars I seen that I had more time left on the beat… So I just freestyled on the rest of the beat.

5. You’re known for staying true to yourself in a game full of pressure and pretense—how do you maintain that authenticity?

NUK: Just being me… Thinking for myself… And bringing as much of ideas into real life. And I always think positive.

6. You’ve worked with a range of producers over the years—what makes a collaboration click for you, and who’s still on your wish list?

NUK: Someone that takes their craft as serious as I do… A few I’m willing to work with is DJ Khaled, Cole Bennett, Moneybagg Yo, Young Thug, Mozzy and the list goes on.

7. How do you balance addressing real-life struggles in your lyrics with keeping the energy high and the vibe raw?

NUK: If you hear me you know I lived it… I often share my real life struggles in my music… My music is for the world to hear it so it’s nothing a secret… but I’m a humble person overall so I learn how to deal with certain things that I go through.

8. What role has social media played in building your fanbase—and which platform do you feel gives you the most direct connection to your audience?

NUK: Social media gave me a way to promote my music and whatever I do that I want to put out there… I feel Instagram gives the most direct connection to my audience.

9. With Haters Pressed now out, what can fans expect next? Are you building toward an EP, visuals, live shows, or something else?

NUK: I’m building towards more music, more visuals, more live shows… More of everything basically.

10. If Haters Pressed is someone’s first time hearing Nuk, what do you hope they walk away knowing about you?

NUK: I’m a person that kept going when people didn’t believe in me… When people hated and didn’t want to see me doing good I kept going. Mfs will try to take you out ya game but I kept going… Even when the most worst shit happened to me I took it on the chin and smiled… I’m destined to be great.
