In celebration of its 50th anniversary, George Harrison’s iconic album Living in the Material World will be reissued with an exciting collection of extras, including 12 unreleased recordings. Fans can already listen to one of the rare tracks, “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth) (Take 18),” available now. Among the other treasures is a recording of “Sunshine Life for Me (Sail Away Raymond),” which features contributions from Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, Rick Danko of The Band, and Ringo Starr. This particular song will be available as a 7″ single in the super deluxe edition of the reissue.
Scheduled for release on November 15, the reissue has been newly mixed by Paul Hicks and carefully overseen by Dhani and Olivia Harrison. In addition to the remastered album, the deluxe package will feature a 60-page hardcover book filled with rare photos, handwritten lyrics, and studio notes, offering fans an intimate glimpse into the creation of the album. Alongside alternate takes and acoustic versions, the tracklist promises a deep dive into Harrison’s creative process during this pivotal moment in his career.
