Shakira fans have a little longer to wait, but it will be worth it. The global superstar has officially postponed her highly anticipated North American tour, originally set for fall 2024, to 2025. The tour, which supports her latest album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, will feature performances in larger venues, including major stadiums in addition to some of the original arena stops. With this rescheduling, Shakira is promising a bigger and better experience for her fans, many of whom will now have the chance to see her perform in massive settings like SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and Fenway Park in Boston.
Bigger Venues, Bigger Experience
The revamped tour will begin on February 11, 2025, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos, before making its way across Latin America and North America. Shakira will now be playing in some of the world’s largest venues, including the iconic MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, and Globe Life Field in Texas. This shift to stadiums signals the high demand for her shows, as well as the sheer scale of the production she is preparing for her fans. It’s clear that the decision to push the dates to 2025 allows for more time to plan and execute a grander live performance.
Fans in North America can catch Shakira in major cities such as New York, Toronto, Boston, Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. The final show of the North American leg is set to take place on June 30, 2025, at Oracle Park in San Francisco.
WorldPride 2025 Headliner
One of the standout moments of the 2025 tour will be Shakira’s headlining performance at the Welcome Concert for WorldPride DC 2025. Scheduled to take place at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., this special set marks a major milestone in Shakira’s career as she becomes a key figure in the global celebration of LGBTQ+ pride. This inclusion further solidifies her place as a global icon and ally to diverse communities around the world. With WorldPride being one of the biggest LGBTQ+ events, this performance is sure to be one of the most memorable stops on the tour.
A Long-Awaited Album and Viral Hits
Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, Shakira’s first studio album in seven years, has generated massive buzz since its release. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this follow-up to her 2017 album El Dorado, and Shakira did not disappoint. The album includes her viral smash hit, “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” a collaboration with Argentinian producer Bizarrap that quickly took the internet by storm. With a powerful message about self-empowerment and moving on from past pain, the album showcases Shakira’s evolution as an artist while staying true to her roots in Latin pop.
Latin American and Global Stops
In addition to her North American dates, Shakira will be performing across Latin America, with stops in Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Mexico. These dates will kick off the tour, starting in February, before Shakira heads north to the U.S. and Canada.
Fans across the globe are counting down to 2025 as Shakira prepares to deliver a tour experience that reflects her status as one of the world’s most beloved pop stars. The new dates promise unforgettable performances, anthemic hits, and stadium-sized excitement.
