Eusexua

What is “Eusexua”? Last week’s teaser had the ethereal vibe of a luxury perfume ad, or perhaps a promo for a sex toy with a mechanism too risqué for TV. But rest assured, FKA twigs is aiming for something deeper. The name “Eusexua” comes from the Greek word for “euphoria,” originally meaning good health. In this new track, twigs explores a state of complete sensual well-being. “If they ask you, say you feel it, but don’t call it love,” she sings. Here, she’s not referring to an emotion tied to someone else, but a more universal state of being.

Co-produced with Koreless and Eartheater, “Eusexua” pulses with a heartbeat-like rhythm, evolving into a mesmerizing, airy techno track that mirrors the intricate beauty of twigs’ choreography. In the extended video, she plays an office worker with a liberating secret. You know that old trick to conquer stage fright—imagining the audience naked? In “Eusexua,” bodies shed their layers to (through dance, of course) uncover new connections to movement, physics, and each other. It turns out all those repetitive office tasks—typing and stapling—were just outlets for untapped erotic energy.
