Kissing The Flint Unleashes an Anthem of Resilience with All We Can Do

Kissing The Flint, the evocative musical project helmed by Leah (Jett) Chynoweth-Tidy, delivers an emotional gut punch with All We Can Do, released on February 28, 2025. A sweeping pop track layered with lush instrumentation and soaring melodies, the song is a testament to resilience, hope, and the unbreakable human spirit.

Currently based in Scotland, but born and raised in Australia, Leah originally wrote All We Can Do as a blues-rock track for her second album while still living Down Under. The song was never released as a single at the time, yet it still managed to garner a Top 10 indie-rock award from the Australian Songwriting Association and a UK Songwriting Award commendation. However, as fate would have it, producer Huey Dowling at Unit 7 Studio in South West Scotland saw an entirely new possibility for the track. Together, they reimagined All We Can Do with a bright, anthemic pop arrangement that breathes new life into its core message.

Bringing even more polish to the release, the track was mastered by Ben Findlay—whose resume includes working with legends such as Peter Gabriel, Robert Plant, and Jeff Beck. With this powerhouse of talent behind it, All We Can Do transforms into something truly timeless and deeply moving.

Written just before Leah’s relocation from Australia to the UK in 2020, All We Can Do captures the uncertainty and emotional turbulence of that period, made all the more poignant by the looming shadow of the global pandemic. The lyrics paint a picture of perseverance in the face of adversity, urging listeners to hold onto hope, push forward, and trust that even the darkest storms will pass.

For Leah, the song is a reminder of the resilience we all carry within us. “When we feel like mere spectators in our own lives, watching from the outside as things spiral beyond our control, All We Can Do is a message to keep going. Even when it feels impossible, hope is always waiting on the other side,” she shares.

Since relocating to the UK, Kissing The Flint has steadily built a devoted audience in the Northern Hemisphere, while also returning to Australia in 2024 for her first tour in four years. One of the highlights of that tour was her main stage performance at the Agnes Blues Roots & Rock Festival, where she shared the bill with Australian music icons Vika & Linda.

This release also sets the stage for Kissing The Flint’s upcoming third album, Rule The World—her first UK-based full-length project. The album promises a sonic evolution, blending pop, rock, country, soul, and even ska influences, further showcasing Leah’s songwriting versatility and artistic fearlessness.

With All We Can Do, Kissing The Flint delivers a stirring anthem of endurance, offering a musical beacon of hope for anyone who’s ever felt lost in the chaos of life. Whether you’re weathering your own storm or simply need a reminder that better days are ahead, this song will resonate, uplift, and inspire.
